Use a referral code
If a friend sent you a referral code or link, you can link one of your wallets to it. You then get 10% of the M5wallet fee on your swaps back, in USDC, and your friend earns rewards when you swap.
A code is optional. M5wallet works the same without one. When M5wallet asks Have a referral code?, you can select Skip.
Before you link
Section titled “Before you link”- You have 14 days. You can link a wallet within 14 days of first setting it up in M5wallet, whether you created it or imported it. Wallets set up before the program started on 16 September 2026 count as set up that day, so they can be linked until 30 September 2026, 00:00 UTC.
- Signing is free. To link, the wallet signs a message. It isn’t a transaction: there’s no network fee, and no funds move.
- A link is permanent. A wallet can be linked once, to one code. You can’t change or remove the link later.
- You don’t need an M5wallet ID. Linking works without signing in.
Link during wallet setup

Section titled “Link later, from the wallet’s menu”-

If a wallet can’t be linked, Referral code shows Not applicable and the reason, for example that the wallet was created more than 14 days ago.
Which address is linked
Section titled “Which address is linked”M5wallet links the address of the wallet’s first Ethereum account. It’s the same address on every EVM network, such as Ethereum and BNB Chain.
- Only swaps sent from this address count. Swaps from the wallet’s other accounts don’t.
- Your rebates are paid to this address on BNB Chain.
See your rebate
Section titled “See your rebate”Open Referral in M5wallet. Under Your rebate you’ll find:
- Total — everything your linked wallets have earned back;
- what is still to be paid — rebates in their 30-day wait, or waiting for the next monthly payout;
- the payments already sent, each with the date and a link to the transaction.
The rebate is paid to the address you linked, on BNB Chain. This needs M5wallet 6.4.2 or newer.
Which wallets can link
Section titled “Which wallets can link”| Wallet | Can it link? |

If you can’t link

- The code isn’t valid. Check the code with your friend.
- The request expired. You have 15 minutes to sign after you apply. Try again.
- Too many wallets were linked from your network today. Try again tomorrow.
- It’s your own code. You can’t use your own referral code.
