Security settings
Open Settings → Security. Most options appear once you have set a passcode.
Auto-lock
Section titled “Auto-lock”Auto-lock locks M5wallet after you’ve been away for a while. The options are Always, 1, 5 or 30 minutes, 1, 2 or 4 hours, and Never.
Biometrics
Section titled “Biometrics”Turn on the biometric switch to unlock with Face ID or Touch ID on iPhone, Touch ID on a Mac, Windows Hello on Windows, a passkey in the browser extension, or your phone’s biometrics on Android.
Change passcode
Section titled “Change passcode”Select Change passcode and follow the prompts.
Protection
Section titled “Protection”- Passcode bypass lets you create transactions, or create and remove wallets, without entering your passcode. Leave it off unless you accept that anyone holding your unlocked device could do the same.
- Passcode protection resets the app on this device after 10 failed passcode attempts. Turn it on only when every wallet is backed up.
Reset PIN
Section titled “Reset PIN”Appears only when you have a Google sign-in wallet.
Forgot your passcode?
Section titled “Forgot your passcode?”M5wallet cannot recover a passcode. On the lock screen, select Forgot passcode? to reset the app, then restore each wallet:
- Seed phrase wallet: import its recovery phrase.
- Google sign-in wallet: sign in with Google and enter your PIN.
- Hardware wallet: connect the device again.
