Rewards and payouts

What counts

A swap counts when:

you made it in M5wallet, and M5wallet’s swap service built it (swaps and bridges both count);
it was sent on an EVM network, from the linked address, after the wallet was linked;
it was confirmed successful on-chain.

These don’t count:

swaps made before the wallet was linked;
swaps from other accounts in the same wallet;
swaps sent from Solana or Bitcoin, for now;
limit orders, and swaps you make on a dApp’s website;
transactions that fail or never confirm.

A bridge sent from an EVM network counts, wherever it goes. Nothing is paid for hardware, Earn or Perps.

The 100 M5L referral reward

You earn 100 M5L when a friend’s linked wallet makes its first counted swap worth $10 or more. The USD value is taken at the time of the swap.

You get one referral reward per linked wallet.
You can get up to 1,000 referral rewards (100,000 M5L) per calendar month. A swap that comes after you reach the limit doesn’t earn the reward, but that friend’s next swap of $10 or more in a month under the limit still does.
A swap that M5wallet can’t value in US dollars doesn’t qualify.

Commissions and rebates

M5wallet charges a 0.3% fee on swaps and bridges, included in the quote. On every counted swap from a linked wallet:

you, the inviter, earn 10% (Bronze), 15% (Silver), 18% (Gold) or 20% (Diamond) of the fee;
your friend gets 10% of their fee back.

Both are paid in USDC on BNB Chain.

Some routes don’t carry the M5wallet fee. A swap on such a route earns no commission or rebate, but it still counts for the 100 M5L reward and for your friends’ swap volume.

Commissions and rebates are worked out from the fee each swap actually carried, and rounded down to six decimal places.

Qualified friends are friends who earned you a 100 M5L referral reward that month.
Friends’ swap volume is the total USD value of your linked friends’ counted swaps that month.
You move up as soon as either number reaches a level. From then on, your friends’ swaps earn you the higher share.
On the 10th of each month, levels are reviewed for the month before. If you miss your level’s requirement two months in a row, you drop one level.
Calendar months follow UTC.

When rewards are paid

Pending. A reward waits 30 days after the swap is confirmed.
Available. After 30 days, the reward is ready to be paid.
Payout list. On the 1st of each month, M5wallet prepares a payout of the available rewards.
Paid. M5dex DAO LLC sends the payout on BNB Chain by the 10th.

Set your receiving address

Your M5L and USDC go to the receiving address you set. Until you set one, your rewards wait.

In Referral, select Receiving address.
Enter a BNB Chain address from a wallet you control. An address from one of your M5wallet wallets is best.
Select Save, then enter the code M5wallet emails to your M5wallet ID’s email address.

The payout goes to the address that is set when the payout list is prepared on the 1st. To change the address, set a new one the same way. It replaces the old one.

Friends’ rebates

Friends don’t need to set anything. Rebates go to the linked wallet’s address on BNB Chain, which is the same address as the wallet’s first Ethereum account. To see them in M5wallet, open that account on BNB Chain.

Small amounts carry over

If the USDC due to an address comes to less than $1, it isn’t sent that month. It stays available and joins the next payout.

M5L and USDC

M5L (M5 Legacio) is a BEP-20 token on BNB Chain. The $0.10 the app shows for M5L is a configured reference price, not a market price: M5L isn’t listed on an exchange.

Rewards are paid in these tokens. Before you trust a token that claims to be one of them, check its contract address.

Holds and reviews

Some rewards are held for a manual review before they’re paid:

A wallet linked from your own device or network. Your 100 M5L and your commissions from that wallet are held.
More than 20 qualified friends in 24 hours. The referral rewards after the 20th are held.

A held reward isn’t paid until the review ends. If nothing is wrong, it’s paid in a normal payout once its 30-day wait is over.

Self-referral, fake wallets, several wallets controlled by one person, and wash swaps break the Referral Program Terms. Rewards that come from them are cancelled.
