Manage wallets and accounts
A wallet is one recovery phrase, Google sign-in, vault or hardware device, and each wallet can hold several accounts. To open the account picker, select the account name at the top of the home screen.
Add a wallet or an account
Section titled “Add a wallet or an account”- Another wallet: select + Wallet. You get the same choices as in first-time setup.
- Another account: select Add account under the wallet. M5wallet creates the next account from the same wallet.
Rename
Section titled “Rename”Select a wallet’s name (with the pencil icon) to rename it. To rename an account, open its … menu and select Rename.

Section titled “Account menu”An account’s … menu offers Copy address, Rename, Export private key, Export public key, Move to top and Remove.
Change the derivation path
Section titled “Change the derivation path”If an imported wallet doesn’t show the accounts you expect, go to Settings → Wallet → Account derivation path and try another option:
- EVM networks: BIP44 standard, Ledger Live, Ledger Legacy
- Bitcoin: Taproot, Nested SegWit, Native SegWit, Legacy
Remove a wallet
Section titled “Remove a wallet”Open the wallet’s … menu:
- Seed phrase wallet: select Remove wallet, tick I’ve written down the recovery phrase, then select Remove.
- Hardware wallet: select Remove device.
- Google sign-in wallet: select Log out wallet. See Log out of the wallet.
Removing a wallet only deletes it from this device. Without its recovery phrase, or your Google account and PIN, you won’t be able to add it back.
