Referral FAQ
Where do I get my referral code?
Section titled “Where do I get my referral code?”Sign in with Google to create your M5wallet ID. Then open Referral: in the phone app, select the grid icon at the top right, then Referral; in the desktop app, the browser extension and the web app, select the Referral tab. You can also select Refer a Friend on your M5wallet ID page. Your referral code and link are at the top. See Get your referral code.
Do I need a referral code?
Section titled “Do I need a referral code?”No. A code is optional, and M5wallet works the same without one. When M5wallet asks Have a referral code?, select Skip.
How long do I have to link a wallet?
Section titled “How long do I have to link a wallet?”14 days from first setting up the wallet in M5wallet. Wallets set up before 16 September 2026 can be linked until 30 September 2026, 00:00 UTC. See Use a referral code.
My friend linked a wallet, but I didn’t get 100 M5L
Section titled “My friend linked a wallet, but I didn’t get 100 M5L”Linking alone doesn’t earn a reward. Check that:
- your friend’s linked wallet has made a swap of $10 or more in M5wallet, from the linked address, after linking, and the swap was confirmed on-chain;
- the swap counts. See What counts;
- you hadn’t already reached 1,000 referral rewards that month. If you had, your friend’s next swap of $10 or more in a later month still earns it.
A new reward shows as pending for 30 days before it’s paid. It can also be on hold for review.
Why is my reward on hold?
Section titled “Why is my reward on hold?”Rewards are held for a manual review when:
- your friend’s wallet was linked from your own device or network; or
- more than 20 of your friends qualified within 24 hours.
A held reward is paid in a normal payout once the review finds nothing wrong. If you think a hold is a mistake, email info@m5dex.com with your referral code.
Can I link my own wallets?
Section titled “Can I link my own wallets?”No. Linking your own wallets to your own code is self-referral. M5wallet refuses a wallet whose address is your own receiving address, and rewards from self-referral, or from several wallets controlled by one person, are cancelled.
Can I change the code a wallet is linked to?
Section titled “Can I change the code a wallet is linked to?”No. A wallet links once, and the link can’t be changed or removed. If the person who shared the code renames it, the wallet stays linked to the renamed code.
Where are payouts sent?
Section titled “Where are payouts sent?”- Inviters: your M5L and USDC go to the receiving address you set in Referral, on BNB Chain. Until you set one, your rewards wait. See Set your receiving address.
- Friends: rebates go to the linked wallet’s address on BNB Chain.
Payouts are sent by the 10th of each month.
Why didn’t my swap earn a commission?
Section titled “Why didn’t my swap earn a commission?”A swap earns a commission only if it counts and carries the M5wallet fee. Common reasons it didn’t:
- the wallet wasn’t linked yet when the swap was made;
- the swap was sent from another account in the wallet, not from the linked address;
- it was sent from Solana or Bitcoin, or it was a limit order;
- it was made on a dApp’s website, not in M5wallet’s Trade tab;
- the route carried no M5wallet fee;
- the transaction failed or never confirmed;
- M5wallet couldn’t value the swap in US dollars.
A commission that counts shows as pending for 30 days.
Is M5L worth $0.10?
Section titled “Is M5L worth $0.10?”The $0.10 is a configured reference price, not a market price. M5L isn’t listed on an exchange, so there may be no market for it.
Who runs the program?
Section titled “Who runs the program?”M5wallet’s backend keeps the program’s records, and M5dex DAO LLC sends the payouts. The Referral Program Terms apply. For questions, email info@m5dex.com.
